Latest data released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) shows that the total number of broadband users in the country now stands at over 700 million (70 crore). As of July 31st, India apparently had 705.4 million broadband connections. The milestone is believed to have been achieved in July, when ISPs added 7.17 million new subscribers nationwide.
- Having often come under scrutiny for the alleged privacy failings of its Alexa voice assistant, Amazon on Wednesday announced new privacy features that it says will offer users more control over how their private data is stored online. As part of the plan, users will now be able to choose whether or not to save their Alexa voice recordings. They can set their preference via the Alexa app or by visiting Alexa Privacy Settings online.
