Mobile phone prices in India are expected to go up once again in the coming days following the imposition of a 10% import duty on display panels. According to industry body, ICEA, smartphone vendors are expected to raise their prices by between 1.5% and 5% following the development. The new tax regime, which went into effect October 1st, is being applied under a phased manufacturing program (PMP) announced in 2016 in consensus with the industry.

Amazon Alexa - Privacy control

- Having often come under scrutiny for the alleged privacy failings of its Alexa voice assistant, Amazon on Wednesday announced new privacy features that it says will offer users more control over how their private data is stored online. As part of the plan, users will now be able to choose whether or not to save their Alexa voice recordings. They can set their preference via the Alexa app or by visiting Alexa Privacy Settings online.

Zoom announces pricing in rupees for paid plans

- India, video-conferencing app, Zoom, is now listing its plan prices in Rupees alongside other global currencies, including Dollar, Yen, Pound Sterling, and more. To see the plan charges in Rupees, users will have to choose India as their 'billing' and 'sold to' country. The company already accepted Indian credit cards, but there doesn't seem to be any new addition to the payment mode for now. Source - Beboom

Xioami launches Mi KN95 mask in india
